There was great excitement last week in Ardscoil na Tríonóide as over fifty students’ names were put into a draw to win up to ten Chrome books. These students had participated in the national Call to Code organised by Google earlier in the year. This is part of Google’s initiative to encourage young people to get involved in coding, to nurture technology skills for the future. The school won ten Chrome books and it was decided that it was best to give the devices to students to continue to develop their own talents in this field. Mr McCormack emphasised the importance of these kind of computer based skills and how they are highly prized in the cutting edge world of technology.
