This year was the first annual Leinster tag rugby final for girls’ teams all around the province. This year Ard Scoil entered a girl’s tag rugby team to compete in the competition. The girls trained hard and worked together as a team to win the qualifiers and pushed on to the finals. The teams coach Joey Carbery was persistent in his winning training method and has the girls ready to go out and try their best to win the competition. The girls fought hard throughout the day to try and qualify but they faced challenges and sadly they lost out on the chance to get into the final.

The girls hope to continue on next year and get through to the Leinster Finals and hopefully win and bring the trophy back to Athy.
