Please find below some useful tips and apps that should be helpful to staff members who wish to get full value from their iPads. If any staff members find any tips that they would like to share via this page, please forward them to me on the reeves.homework… email address.

Not all apps or tips will be useful to all staff members, so please feel free to pick and choose.

Saving Microsoft Files
Cloudon is an app that allows users to save, access and edit any files that they create for or save to their dropbox or google drive. It’s free from the app store. Thanks to Aine for the tip!

Displaying iPad Screen on Digital Projector
Teachers who wish to transfer the screen of their iPad or iPhone to their desktop can do so by downloading first iTunes and then iTools to their desktop. The process is absolutely free, but your iPad will have to be connected to the desktop via your charger lead into the USB port.

Taking a Screenshot of your iPad
If you wish to get a screenshot of your iPad screen, e.g. for your timetable or for a personalised desktop, when the screen you want to capture is showing, press and hold the on/off button and while this is depressed click the command button in the centre at the bottom of your screen.
