As part of its function as school patron, CEIST endeavours to support and build capacity in the complex enterprise of leading and managing a voluntary secondary school. One way to develop existing and aspiring leadership capacity is through the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership Education (MACLE). This MA is specifically oriented towards the leadership and management of faith schools.

The programme, which is part time over two academic years, explores key issues of educational leadership, policy and management, within the context of faith based school environments. As such, it prepares participants in all the key competency areas for leadership of a Catholic school.

The MACLE is offered as a part time programme over two academic years in two venues: Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and Marino Institute of Education, Dublin. Applicants with existing relevant qualifications (such as Toraíocht) may be eligible for credit transfers towards the award. The programme is eligible for tax relief under section 473A, Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997 and the Teacher Fee Refund Scheme may also apply.

We ask you to bring this programme to the attention of your staff, especially those interested in exploring a path towards senior management. Please find attached the MACLE brochure including contact details for further information
