The Board of Ceist wish to draw the attention of interested teachers to the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership in Education (MACLE).

The MACLE is an innovative postgraduate programme, leading to a professional qualification for school leaders. It explores key concepts in theology and spirituality as they relate to educational leadership, along with issues of educational policy and management within the context of faith based schools.

The MACLE is a part-time programme over two academic years offered both by Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick and Marino Institute of Education, Dublin (please refer to attached brochure for full details). Unfortunately, previous sponsorship from the St. Stephen’s Green Trust is no longer available. However, we encourage successful applicants from CEIST schools to apply to the CEIST Board in this regard.

As Trustees, we are anxious to resource existing and future leaders of CEIST schools in this regard, and request that you encourage existing and potential leaders on your staff and in your school community to consider the MACLE.

Please find attached the programme brochure for your information.
