Water lilies double in area every 24 hours. There is one water lily in the middle of a lake. It takes 50 days for the lake to be completely covered in water lilies. How many days does it take to cover one quarter of the lake?

Problem 2

The light at one lighthouse flashes every 24 seconds while the light at another lighthouse flashes every 45 seconds. They flash together at midnight. What is the time when they next flash together?

Problem 3

The surface area of the Earth is 510,000,000 KM2. The continent of Asia covers 30% of the land area of Earth, covers 8.8% of the total area of the Earth and represents 60% of the world`s population. From this information calculate the total land area of the planet.
