Ardscoil na Trionoide beat Swords of Dublin, 3-2 in Leinster semi-final and will now progress to the final of the competition.

The venue for the match was in Leixlip’s astro-turf pitch and the kick-off was at 12 o’clock.
It was an exceptional start for Neil Kelly’s black army as Rory Feely climbed highest inside the penalty area to head home a whipped in corner by Drew McEvoy, to give the Ardscoil faithful a 1-0 lead inside the first 5 minutes.
Ardscoil’s great start was soon whipped away as Swords grabbed two goals in quick succession to give Swords a 2-1 at half time. The two goals were well finished and left goalkeeper Marco Prior on the ground stunned.
The second half began and Ardscoil’s heads were dropped but Brian Daly and Darren Lawler(captain) drove the team on. The powerful substitution from Neil Kelly, as he took off James Redmond and introduced Octavian Rosca into the game. He changed the game to benefit the black army and created a partnership with the mighty Kieran Farrell.
With 10 minutes left Ardscoil grabbed a free kick outside the edge of the box, which was tucked away by Daragh Roycroft and the bench went mad, Tomas Foley leading the celebrations.
Neil Kelly was preparing for extra-time but with the very last kick of the game the ball rolled to the edge of the box where Roycroft was standing and he drilled the ball into the bottom corner and the whole team went wild, running into the corner and doing a pile-on at the side of the pitch.
Great performances all around from Marc, Messi, Brian, Chris, Darren, Niall, Rory, Kieran, Kiki, Andy, Daragh and Octo(sub).
We’re all looking forward to the final and hope to have supporters for the big game. #NeilKellysblackarmy
