The u14 girls league team got their campaign off to a winning start with a 6.11 to 4.3 victory over St. Wolstans of Celbridge.

Ardscoil started very strong, scoring 4-3 without reply, with full forward  Abby Smyth netting a hat trick after just 10 minutes.

Captain and vice captain Emma Hickey and Grace King commanded the midfield7EEB6CCA-C534-4303-827E-B9DDB5314B45 and half back lines respectively, with Mary Kate O’Keeffe and Freya McBride excelling in defense also.

St Wolstans staged a comeback in the second half, but Ardscoil kept their heads and some good defending by Molly Murphy and Molly Goldrick, and goalkeeper Meg Harris kept Ardscoil in the game.

Nicole Doyle kept the scoreboard ticking  over with some well taken points and an Ali Walsh goal put the icing on the cake.
