Our Facilities
Ardscoil na Tríonóide is situated on a large site on the outskirts of Athy town, on the Monasterevin road. Our school complex consists of an extensive sports gym and fitness suite, a large soccer pitch to the front and an astro-turf pitch at the back of the building.
We have a large number of general use classrooms and fully equipped Art Rooms (2), Computer Rooms (2), a Language Laboratory, a Demonstration/Lecture Room, Kitchens (2), Assembly Hall, a fully equipped Canteen serving hot dinners daily, specialist Science Laboratories (4), a fully stocked Library, Geography Room, Music Room, Meeting Room, Construction Studies Rooms (2), and a Design & Communication Room.
In early 2019, we opened an extension comprising of 5 new general classrooms, and 2 fully equipped ASD Units. In 2024, we were very fortunate to have former Poet Laureate Tracy K Smith visit our school and open our refurbished Library. This was followed by the launch of our new sensory pod called the Cubbie, offically launched by Dr. Clare Kambamettu.
All our classrooms both general and specialised are equipped with a computer, data projector and a printer. Wifi is accessible throughout the school.
We have a full canteen, which offers students a choice of a freshly cooked dinner every day, along with a variety of rolls and salads.
